AICE media studies: Storyboard Blog
I have 6 storyboard scenes total for my commercial./advertisement. I wrote the time of seconds I wanted to spend on each scene
First Scene: In the first scene, the camera is still and the bike moves across the screen and out of frame, I wanted this scene to emphasize how hard the actor (me) was biking in order to keep exercising. Which brings us to the next scene
Second Scene: In this scene, the camera is at the perspective of the handlebars and is zoomed in a little in order to try and show the sweat running down his (my) face.
Third Scene: In this scene, the actor sits slows to a stop next to a bench then takes off his backpack and sits while trying to catch his breath, . These three scenes are all to build up the idea that this guy is working hard enough to be thirsty and needs energy. For this scene the camera is panned out enough for the bike to be in view along with the bench.
Fourth Scene: In this scene the actor leans over to open his bag and the camera moves closer so only the bench, actor, and backpack is in view. I chose to do this so when he pulls out the drink in the next scene the camera zooming in would seem more natural because it had already moved in once before.
Five Scene: In this scene the only things that should be visible are the actors arm, the Gatorade bottle, only a portion of the bench, and the bag. This is when he unzips the bag and pulls out the glistening, cold Gatorade. And the entire time the camera is close enough to where you have to focus on the bottle and label.
Sixth Scene: This is the last scene and the camera is facing the profile of the actor who takes the cap off and starts to drink it. With editing a logo should pop up that just says "Gatorade" and after a couple seconds the video cuts to black.
