AICE media studies: Filming Blog

     A lot happened during this film process, I went to 2 different locations for these scenes as well. Things don't always go as planned either. One thing that really messed me up was realizing I didn't have anything to stand my phone camera on so I made a tripod thingy out of a big stand from a karaoke machine and a tiny three legged stand from a lawn ornament and just duct taped them together. It worked well enough for me to get my shots. But I also had to use a dollar bill I folded a couple times, to put behind the phone in order to get lower angles from higher above since the makeshift tripod couldn't go as low as I needed. Along with that I had to adapt and change locations for one of my scenes because the area was flooded with rain water.

 As of today, no filming has been done. We have made a few tweaks to our storyboard. Also we have been collecting materials and props we would need. We bought a basketball as one of the major props. After that we used a pump to make sure its not deflated. The basketball is the most important prop of this project. And we needed to make sure we have everything settled. As for when filming will begin, I'm not sure. Next week will be my last week in this Airbnb. but my house isn't finished. So my mother is looking for other places to stay in the meantime. Wherever it is, Ill have to be there for 4 weeks. Which is annoying and irritating to even think about. But that's life so we have to deal with it. I could just ask my mother to drive me to the locations for filming. On the days she doesn't have work she probably can. But regardless it should be alright. The filming should be finished in a day or two. Then the hard part is over. Until then I guess I'll be waiting.

 As of today filming has not started. It will take a while in order for me and my partner to start recording. I'm still in the Airbnb, far away from every filming location. But soon I will be back in my home and ready to film. In order to film we will need a third actor as well. Luckily for us, I talked to our mutual friend and he said he'll help act. He's also in Media Studies, but he is in S level. While me and my partner are in AS. Along with that the three locations are close to his house, my partners house, and mine as well. We can start filming now but it would be very slow. And also very inconvenient for everybody involved. For now though we will be cleaning things up with our script. Just making sure things flow and look right. Sometimes there are little errors you forget to correct. But it's not that bad and I'm not changing anything major. Like I said only small details will be changed. Mainly storyboard angles and stuff. We will have to be resourceful and...
