Pitch 1:

A new popular narcotic grows. And the market for illegal substances opened in digital form. This eliminates the need for dealers but awakens unforeseen problems. 

 

This pitch interests us because we think films based on moving of illegal substances captivate more people and is more interesting to film about. We think this would also be interesting to make a film about with all the action involved. Especially with this new modern twist it will be sure to excite. You could catch some people even reminiscing and looking back on some influences. They can notice elements from their favorite crime-based T.V Shows and movies. All while keeping the story fresh and exhilarating to watch. Along with this we can safely create a video about illegal substances without showing any props for illegal substances. This works great so we can tell a short story while playing by the Cambridge rules in place.

 

Pitch 2: 

A teen growing up in the streets finds passion in basketball. This leads him to a basketball tournament. It became a goal to win the tournament for the prize money.

 

This pitch also interests us as we think basketball is very inspirational and thrilling. We enjoy playing it and spend hours every week at the court. And have a blast going against each other. Playing with our friends’ kind of pathed the road for the tournament idea. It helps tie in the story to incorporate the competition by giving the kid a motive for his determination. A story like this can have many openings and opportunities for a kid. We could also use this narrative to push the importance of keeping teens out of gangs and other activities that are very prevalent in bad neighborhoods. With a broad pitch we could make this story worthwhile. With creating a story that holds a strong message it can benefit a lot of people.

 As of today, no filming has been done. We have made a few tweaks to our storyboard. Also we have been collecting materials and props we would need. We bought a basketball as one of the major props. After that we used a pump to make sure its not deflated. The basketball is the most important prop of this project. And we needed to make sure we have everything settled. As for when filming will begin, I'm not sure. Next week will be my last week in this Airbnb. but my house isn't finished. So my mother is looking for other places to stay in the meantime. Wherever it is, Ill have to be there for 4 weeks. Which is annoying and irritating to even think about. But that's life so we have to deal with it. I could just ask my mother to drive me to the locations for filming. On the days she doesn't have work she probably can. But regardless it should be alright. The filming should be finished in a day or two. Then the hard part is over. Until then I guess I'll be waiting.

 As of today filming has not started. It will take a while in order for me and my partner to start recording. I'm still in the Airbnb, far away from every filming location. But soon I will be back in my home and ready to film. In order to film we will need a third actor as well. Luckily for us, I talked to our mutual friend and he said he'll help act. He's also in Media Studies, but he is in S level. While me and my partner are in AS. Along with that the three locations are close to his house, my partners house, and mine as well. We can start filming now but it would be very slow. And also very inconvenient for everybody involved. For now though we will be cleaning things up with our script. Just making sure things flow and look right. Sometimes there are little errors you forget to correct. But it's not that bad and I'm not changing anything major. Like I said only small details will be changed. Mainly storyboard angles and stuff. We will have to be resourceful and...
