AICE Media Studies: Starting the Final Task

My name is Skye Kallus-Hill and during this project I chose my partner to be Joseph Gonzales. I originally wanted to work alone. This was because I do not know any other people in my class besides him. I guess I figured it might be easier to do alone rather than with a partner. However he called me and asked me if we should work together and I said sure. We immediately started brain storming ideas for this two minute video. Along with him being the only other person I know in the class, We do not live far. Joseph lives around 2 miles away. Which is perfect because we both have bikes. Being in biking distance with your partner in a project works out. Especially a participating in a project all about filming. Also I've known Joseph since kindergarten which is around 11 years now. I trust him as a partner and that's not all why. Every other project that we had I did with him. Besides the commercial project, I did that one alone. I didn't do too good on that project but regardless I'm doing this one with Joe. Like I said prior we have a couple ideas and are excited to try them out. We aren't professional directors but this will be fun to try and do. In any event, we will try our hardest to do this project and have fun doing it. P.S: I am in an Airbnb for the time being and will not be leaving until this project is over probably. Me and Joseph are further than usual away but it's still in the biking distance of 9 miles.

 As of today, no filming has been done. We have made a few tweaks to our storyboard. Also we have been collecting materials and props we would need. We bought a basketball as one of the major props. After that we used a pump to make sure its not deflated. The basketball is the most important prop of this project. And we needed to make sure we have everything settled. As for when filming will begin, I'm not sure. Next week will be my last week in this Airbnb. but my house isn't finished. So my mother is looking for other places to stay in the meantime. Wherever it is, Ill have to be there for 4 weeks. Which is annoying and irritating to even think about. But that's life so we have to deal with it. I could just ask my mother to drive me to the locations for filming. On the days she doesn't have work she probably can. But regardless it should be alright. The filming should be finished in a day or two. Then the hard part is over. Until then I guess I'll be waiting.

 As of today filming has not started. It will take a while in order for me and my partner to start recording. I'm still in the Airbnb, far away from every filming location. But soon I will be back in my home and ready to film. In order to film we will need a third actor as well. Luckily for us, I talked to our mutual friend and he said he'll help act. He's also in Media Studies, but he is in S level. While me and my partner are in AS. Along with that the three locations are close to his house, my partners house, and mine as well. We can start filming now but it would be very slow. And also very inconvenient for everybody involved. For now though we will be cleaning things up with our script. Just making sure things flow and look right. Sometimes there are little errors you forget to correct. But it's not that bad and I'm not changing anything major.
